Philip Hayward talks to BBC1 News CoronaVirus Closing Construction Industry!
Today, Tuesday 24th March 2020.
The final snag day at our recent restaurant fit out project Purezza, in Camden Central London.
Interview – BBC1 News CoronaVirus Closing Construction.
Hayward Construction was interviewed by the BBC1 News team regarding the CoronaVirus, and about last night’s decision by Boris Johnson, to further restrict movement by all UK citizens.
Philip Hayward Director and Founder of Hayward Construction commented to Tara Welsh of the BBC1 News Team;
” Whilst en-route to work this morning. A normal morning would entail calling around my suppliers but this morning was different. They were all closed! It is a very scary feeling that this CoronaVirus has caused so much dismay and disruption.”
Tara then asked Philip about what his team is going to do, if there is a full lock down in London? Philip replied;
“It will actually give me time to be at home to catch up on quotes and paperwork and still actually be busy! But for my guys, I don’t know what they will do? There will simply be no work available for them until we are allowed to work on site again. It’s unsettling and distressing for everyone.”
